Axis Architecture since 1994

New Conference Centre, Portsmouth Portsmouth

– Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth

Axis Architecture were commissioned to get planning approval for a new conference centre situated on an exposed site adjacent a Site of Special Scientific Interest on top of Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth.

The brief was such that the design readily lent itself to a prefabricated design and with the manufacturer PortaKabin in mind, we attained planning approval. The rear of the building has picturesque views across the South Downs towards Southwick and this warranted placing a seating area where you can break from the meeting rooms and enjoy your break with stunning views.

After planning approval, the project was then taken up by PotaKabin as a one-stop-shop and are currently expected to start work on the site late 2020.
