RIBA Register of Principal Designers

We are excited to announce that one of our directors, Giordana Burns, has successfully undertaken all three stages of exams imposed by RIBA to be able to join their register. Axis Architecture is now in the process of joining the register of the best Principal Designers in the United Kingdom. Find out more about the role and responsibilities of a Principal Designer:

What does RIBA stand for?

As architects based near Fareham, we work with clients in the corporate and residential sectors throughout Hampshire and beyond. We are immensely proud to be associated with The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and we have been RIBA chartered architectural members for many years. RIBA governs architects and principal designers in the United Kingdom by setting and upholding professional standards. This organisation champions architectural excellence and professionalism, aligning perfectly with our commitment to creating innovative and impactful spaces that shape the future of our built environment. If you need to find a professional firm to help you with an architectural project, there are many benefits to engaging a RIBA-registered architect.

Professional Expertise:

Our team members must complete rigorous training and education as a RIBA-registered architectural practice. We must also complete a set amount of ongoing professional development to maintain our registration. Therefore, you can be confident we have the knowledge and skills to effectively design and manage complex architectural projects.

Competency:

RIBA-registered principal designers are committed to high standards of competency. We bring communication and coordination to your project; while making sure your project is fully compliant with the relevant legislations.

The changes to the legislations impose that a Principal Designer is involved in ALL PROJECTS. Therefore, here at Axis Architecture, we have decided to undertake a full RIBA training and exam to improve our knowledge and understanding of what the role entails, and to prove competency (which is now compulsory).

Quality Assurance:

As a member of this governing body, we must abide by strict ethical and professional standards. You can rest assured that we will complete your project with integrity and competence.

Regulatory Compliance:

As a RIBA-registered architectural practice, all our team members are well-versed in building codes, regulations, and planning permissions. We can help you navigate complex legal and regulatory requirements that come with any building or renovation project. In short, our expertise helps to minimise any potential issues and delays.

Value for Money:

Finally, hiring a RIBA-registered principal designer represents a smart and value-driven investment in any architectural project. We have the skills and knowledge to bring cost-effective solutions that add value to your project, potentially saving you money in the long term.
