New Build
There are certainly several advantages in creating a new build as opposed to work with an existing property. For example, there might be a significant saving as VAT is not usually applicable to one-off houses. You also reduce the number of un-known potential issues on site as working with existing buildings always offers a few surprises once the structure is exposed or drainage is unveiled etc. You also and foremost have complete control over the style of your new build and are not limited by your existing house architectural style. However, you will have other limitations, such as planning permission and a stricter set of building regulations to comply with. Is it worth it?
